Snail Games introduced gaming smartphone at CES earlier this year, and now it’s available for pre-order from Amazon for $400. While the retail listing says the Snail Mobile W3D will ship in December, Snail says it should actually be available September 29th.

Of course you can play games on most smartphones. But there are a few things that make the W3D different.

This looks like a nice 3D Gaming smartphone with a built-in controller. The screen size, and button layout is nice.

$400 is an okay price for a smartphone since similar size phones like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 cost $547 unlocked on Amazon, and other retailers.

I wouldn't mind owning that.

That looks pretty cool and I think gaming would be a lot better on android with a controller. Also, I wouldn't mind playing some PSP games with a controller on an emulator. That would be really nice.

This smartphone looks good and made to play game and surf the net as well which will be interesting and also you can use the buttons to play games now and may make it easier to control the characters in the game. I think the price will be worth paying for, it looks well made and hope to see it in my country and will be a phone, I will want to buy as games will be easy to play in the phone. It is amazing the phone is made and the price is just right and could even go down even more, which will be a good thing as more people will be able to buy the game and enjoy using this device.

I do like the design and layout of the phone and $400 seems like a reasonable price when compared to other smartphones (without a contract).  It combines the best of portable gaming with the use and versatility of a smartphone.  I can see this doing fairly well if it catches enough attention.

Looks like PSP :)

The Snail Mobile W3D features a 5.5 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel display, a 2.2 GHz MediaTek MTK6595 octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a microSDXC card slot, and a 4,200 mAh battery.
Not bad actually for $400 + extra buttons and pads. But I wouldn't buy it, I don't use my smartphone for gaming, I means it's still a phone after all :)

This really does look like a PSP, as a few people have already pointed out! $400 really isn't bad for a phone when you consider the cost of say, a Samsung or an iPhone. I'm sure it will turn out to be quite popular.
