It's a new month! Nothing but storms and heat outside, And new updates on the GF forums.
As always, lets kick things off with the new member of the month which goes to Death this month due to his posts and his personal suggestions. Congrats!
As you know E3 was this last month and as always turn out was awesome
thank you all who posted and spread the word of GF around. If all goes well GF will cover the coming TGS 2014 and next year's E3 2015.
I like to formally welcome GamesToEnjoy as official Community staff and Allan as Vice admin. Welcome guys!
---- The Future -----
So it's time we start discussing GF's future now that we are amassing good members and staff.
IPB or Xenforo, I think eventually GF will end up on Xen mostly since I like and find the software more appealing (to me and others on the net). But how quickly we go to it depends on IPB 4. I never liked what IPB 3 has become and pending how much worse they make it with version 4 will decide things. I like to update things on the forum and get a few new custom skins but won't do that if we're jumping software ships. More on this in the future but member input is welcomed on this subject.
Contests, so for awhile now I've been hosting contests in order to gain members and activity but lets be honest. These have all fallen flat on their faces. So sorry to say all those who entered the current contests, but all of them have been discontinued as of now.
Resources dedicated to the contests will be used to gain GF a much needed staff and a core group of users and get the word out. Once GF gets a good core membership of 50 members per day is when the contests will come back. So you want to win money and games? Get out and advertise!
Youtube, I plan to make GF's youtube channel more acivte by getting gameplay footage on it, good footage I hope. This won't happen till the Wii U version of the new smash game comes out but I'm sure posting many of our member's gameplay videos on the channel will help the forum some.
Lets turn 7, next month GF forums become 7 years old! I just I wouldn't hold any more contests but I may hold something for GF's lucky 7th birthday. Keep an eye on next month's email for details.
What else? I strive daily to make GF better, often having to spend more time off the forum than on it to keep it going. Supplying idea, any doations and keeping the place active truly makes me happy everyday and I like to thank each and every GF member and staff. Please never be afraid to give any ideas or criticism to better improve the place.

We currently have 133,206 Posts and 1,319 members. In the last month we gain 6,063 posts and 179 new members! WE DID IT!!!!!!! I asked you guys to beat last year's member gain and we did, last June during the year of 2013 we got 3,910 posts and 157 members and we got far more than that. Congrats everyone
