It's a new month! GF turns lucky number 7 this month!, And new updates on the GF forums.
As always, we will start off with the new MotM which is dfarmer2001 for his many posts on the forum. Congrats to him. Next month the person will be chosen based on their rep on the forum, so do some rep worthy posts to get the spot next month.
Soooo ummmm yeah. Much like the summer time video game releases, news for GF is rather dry so we will move onto discussing Gamingforce's birthday.
---Gamingforce 7th Birthday Contest!!!---
So come next Friday August 8th 2014 Gamingforce will turn 7 years old under my care and that is a great many years in forum ownership. Though low and high in activity I have always kept GF pushing forward leading to where we are today.
So for the contest details, all you need to know is that it will be a point based contest. You will have three days to complete some objectives and rack up enough points as possible to win. Some will be only for a day while others run all three days of the contest.
Prizes will be:
1st place: 50 dollar credit in the form of a PSN/eshop/Xbox live/steam/amazon card.
2nd place: 25 dollar credit in the form of a PSN/eshop/Xbox live/steam/amazon card.
3rd place: 10 dollar credit in the form of a PSN/eshop/Xbox live/steam/amazon card.
4th place: 100,000 GF shards
5th place: 25,000 GF shards
So to give current members a head start, you can start racking up points by doing the following in the coming week:
1 Point for every link you post on another forum.
3 Points for every referral you get to sign up and make one post.
5 points for posting a video about GF on youtube and get an additional one point for every 1000 subscribes that channel has. (so if you post the video on a channel that has 8000 subscribers, you get 5 points for the video plus 8 more points)
This pre week contest runs till August 7th 11:59PM CST USA time and by then you must have submitted all proof of getting the links in this topic or PMing me.
