I've picked up a few injuries from my hobby.
I've come home from the range plenty of times with a sore shoulder. (Happens when firing a hundred rounds of 12 gauge ammo.)
I've caught all kinds of hot brass. Had a case go down my back. Had cases go down the front of my shirt. Had cases land on my arms. Had a case bounce off my forehead a few times. I got Valhalla's kisses all over.
I've burned my hands a few times from unintentionally touching the barrels/slides after firing a lot of rounds. (Even my Mossberg 590A1 will heat up after 50-60 rounds through it.) Though my friend's .45ACP is probably the worst for heating up. The slide on that gun can cook digits after 50 rounds.
I got a blood blister from my Smith and Wesson M&P40... (I was watching a video about airsoft and this guy kept loading his replica glock by pulling the slide up front. I was like... that's a bad habit and there's no way that'd be very easy with a real gun. So I figured I'd double check. I got out my handgun, cleared it to ensure empty. Even though it's stored unloaded anyway. Pulled the slide back from the front and ended up catching my hand in the chamber as it closed. So what the guy did was doable... but painful and not recommended.)
So yeah, I've gotten hurt a bit from going to the range and shooting guns. But I enjoy it and I'm going to keep doing it because I quite enjoy it.
