Gex Trilogy

Gex Enter the Gecko and Deep Cover Gecko are two of my favorite games of all time. I like the first game too but not as much as the 3D games. The GB games were meh though lol. Have you ever played any of the Gex games? There's a collection of the games coming out on June 13th and I own a fan forum for the series too lol.

I feel like Gex showed his age with his references, and have been mostly a meme for it since.

Really enjoyed the trilogy. Not so much a fan of the original sidescrolling style game but Enter the Gecko and Deep Cover Gecko were classic platformers back in the day. I would love to see a Gex 4 with modern references, I think that'd be fun to see where they'd take the series in the modern day.

Unfortunately you're probably right lol. Which is a shame, because I would love to see Gex 4 become a thing. If we're getting yet another Bubsy game why can't Gex get another game lol. I need to get back to playing Enter the Gecko and try to beat it since I've never done so before.

I've played through the collection and am really glad it exists. I do have issues with it, mostly the games resolution. It looks worse than most emulators handle the original trilogy with even the native resolution settings and would have appreciated a slightly upscaled game as Gex 2 in particular suffers from not having it. Otherwise it's the same wise cracking, collect a thon, cheesy goodness I remember. It doesn't fail to make me smile when I play. It's really refreshing to see so many of the games I played on PS1 hit other platforms (especially now given how bad Sony has become).
