New month, new changes and updates to the GF forum.
First off, as of now all new members to the site must wait 1 day after joining to edit their sig block. This is to cut back on spammers attempt to get links out. This could end up chaining in the future.
A small new feature was added to the forum, this can be seen on your post profile to the left of any of your posts. The feature is a time counter which keeps track of the amount of time you have spent here on GF.
Next, I have deiced to cut down on the none video game boards. The following has happened:
Media Sector category has been removed.
anime board has been moved into the big screen board and become a sub board. The big screen board has been moved into the off topic category.
off topic category is now other chat category.
Artist Gallery has been removed and all topics moved into the non GF board(which is now power off board).
Non GF has been renamed to power off.
music board moved to other chat category. And has been renamed into Soundtrack beats.
Tech forum has been moved into the power off board as a sub board.
internet board moved into power off board as a sub board.
advertise board moved into GF Gamer Hangout and has been renamed into GF advertising.
As you know, our host has been dealing with DoSS (denial of service) attack. At this time it has stopped, hard to say if it will happen again soon but my host has assured me they are increasing their security. Who ever this no life, SoaB of a person who is doing this is earning my rage and needs to a good beat down and thrown into a prison.
You may have notice that we lost over 20,000 posts. This is due to removing outdated and old RSS feed topics. More posting needs to happen so user posts out number RSS feed topics.
That's all for this update, I'll make another update topic in another month to let you all know how things are doing. If you have any comments, suggestions for the site, ect. please post them so we can do our best to sky rocket this forum to the top and beyond.
