New month, many more posts and updates to the GF forum.
To start off this update, we have had some slowness in the past week and there were two problems with this. The first time was due to a MySQL error which was quickly fixed. then there was a second slow issue due to another account on the server that had some bad code on their MySQL which messed with the whole server and affected us. Both issues were quickly dealt with by our host.
Next, I am currently setting up a wiki (with media wiki software right on the GF server) which members will be free to mess with and write up pages of pretty much anything they want that relates to gaming or yourself. More on this in the future.
On a side note, don't forget that the Video game awards will air on spike tv on the 11th of December.
I know it's December, but sadly I don't think I will be putting up a Christmas theme for the forum. I would like to, but the good ones cost too much and the free ones are crappy. Maybe next year though.
I have added a neat little hook to the forum that blocks anyone from viewing a banned member's profile. This is further to cut back the pointless efforts of spammers and I get the last message if anyone views a ban profile
I have updated the media tag so that it embeds college humor and ign videos.
And currently we have a total of 48,859 posts and 644 members.
That's all for this update, I'll make another update topic next year to let you all know how things are doing. If you have any comments, suggestions for the site, ect. please post them so we can do our best to sky rocket this forum to the top and further then any other forum!
