It's a new month, More video games being released! And new things at the Gamingforce forums.
What a month this past one has been, though we had many down times and slow loadings, this should no longer be an issue.
In the past week, I upgraded the forum software which will allow me to place more current mods onto the forum. More on this in the future. And speaking of mods, our affiliate system was upgraded and now shows a main page preview on some of our affiliates. If you want your forum image to appear, I suggest going to the site that takes care of all that which a link should be in the default image. Also, any bugs that appeared from the upgrade have been fixed.
In this past month was our one year anniversary of being self hosted and being on the latest IPB board, I hope you the members have been enjoying the upgraded features that has come of this.
With our forum upgrade, I have gotten IPB SEO to work. Meaning that new topics on the forum will be indexed on the search engines much faster and should make the GF link appear to guests more often in their searches.
In this coming month I have two goals, Getting the GF store up and getting the wiki up to par. I know it don't sound like much is being done but since I'm the only one working on this stuff it's all I can do at this time. And I am positive the GF store will have a few intresting items for you the members to buy.
Now some bad news, for you the guest. As you all know, or may not know. I pay for GF's hosting and domain link out of my pocket which leaves me little to spend on mods and skins from IPB to be place on to this forum. As such I am looking into putting in google adsense ads on the forum for the guests to view only as in members will not see them at all. I hope by doing this I will get a little pocket money to spend on GF and increase people registering on the forum. And any money earn through the adsense will be used on GF only.
And currently we have a total of 53,073 posts and 672 members. In this past month we made a total of 2347 posts and got 15 new members. not bad considering what went on.
That's all for this update, I'll make another update topic next month to let you all know how things are doing. If you have any comments, suggestions for the site, ect. please post them so we can do our best to sky rocket this forum to the top and further then any other forum!
