It's a new month Year! Everyone is weighed down with games and new updates to the GF forum.
First off, congrats to Virus Zero on becoming MotM for his detailed posts here on the forum. Congrats.
If you haven't noticed by now, the forum link has been slightly altered. Be sure to update your bookmarks and let me know if there is links that may need to still be updated on the forum.
Some members will be posting game modifications in the independent game board. If this becomes popular I'll make a sub board for it.
Now that it's a new year I'll give a few details on what to expect in the coming year for GF.
First contests, don't forget the Xenoblade contest is still going. On top of that I'll be announcing another in February that will be a long contest with nice prizes. Unlike last year I won't be doing monthly contests just but a few that will have better prizes.
For most of winter I plan to focus my time on the usual post exchanges and increasing the forum and website's back links through keyword increase making GF appear more search lists. So there won't be many changes to the forum in the coming months besides the daily activity. If you like to help with this PM me and I'll give you a list of keywords I like you to use in the links.
Come spring and summer I'll apply any better updates needed to make the forum better for members. This leads to the next question I like some feedback on:
Do you think the forum should change it's software from IPB to Xenforo?
Any feedback is welcomed.
I'll also continue my search in filling all of GF's vacant staff spots.
That's pretty much it for now, school will resume soon for me and plus I'm getting over some sickness. So my activity will be slightly less but I'll be working hard everyday. So thanks everyone for another great year here and I hope GF has another great year as it becomes 7 years old this coming year! Keep up the activity everyone.
We currently have 121,375 Posts and 1,743 members. In the last month we gain 1,774 posts and 20 members. In the last year we've gotten 33,835 posts and 387 members. A pretty good year.
