Microsoft has confirmed that Xbox Live Gold will not be necessary to access Netflix, HBO Go, Twitch, IGN, and other apps. Starting in June, all Xbox users will have access to numerous entertainment apps on Xbox One and Xbox 360, as well as web browsing, without Gold.
