Ergo Electronics will release Google Android GoNote which is a Tablet / Netbook running Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich combo to UK classrooms. It has a 10-inch 1024 x 600 display, a 1.2GHz ARM Rockchip RK2918, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage, expandable via a MicroSD slot. The GoNote also has four USB 2.0 ports and a VGA webcam. It'll be release in the UK in September for £150 ($236) in black and white options.

This Netbook looks pretty good. I like the 4 USB ports which can come in handy for plugging in a mouse, and other USB accesories, 10 inch screen, webcam, 1.2 GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM, and MicroSD slot. The £150 price is pretty good as wall since most Google Android Tablets with only a smaller 7 inch screen, 1GB RAM and no keyboard cost 199-299 US Dollars, and don't hace USB ports in many cases. The webcam could be good for kids who take online courses since they can skype with their teachers for homework help when they get stuck on a problem, and show the teacher the problem via webcam or by sending a file attachment by e-mail.
These netbooks also might be fanless since most Tablets are fanless, so the teachers or students won't have to clean any fans.
I wonder will Google Android 4.1 Jellybean will be pre-installed on this Netbook latter on.
It is certainly cheaper then a Google Chromebook which cost 430-500 dollars, and basically does the same thing, but uses Google Chrome OS instead of Google Android.
