It can be a good idea to go online to learn how to make, and use simple stuff like a Fidget Spinner, and smartphone/tablet stand to see if you like using them, and if your homemade fidget spinner or smartphone/tablet stand is good enough for you, so you can save money by not buying it from a store for $10 or more. You may save a lot of time if you need to drive or walk many hours to the closest store if you live far away from most stores which sell toys, and smartphone accessories like smartphone stands.

Making things like Fidget Spinners, and Smartphone stands take only a few minutes to learn how to make with materials like card board, paper, tooth picks, super glue, tape, old bearings or wheels, and screws and bolts you most likely have in your home, or can borrow from your friend, family member, or co-worker.

Give that most people these days don't care for making their own stuff, I don't see this being possible or safe.

The online instructions on making things like phone bags and stands, and fidget spinners are usually simple to follow if you pay attention to the video or carefully read the article. Most online tutorial videos, and articles are usually made for people over the age of 13, and beginners.

There are women who make their own clothes, phone cases, bags, jewelry, and other stuff.

But, there are now more men who don't make things because many things are affordable or men rather spend their time on less-active activities like watching TV, playing video games, and eating. The small percentage of men who make stuff are men who work in construction, manufacturing, automotive, carpentry, engineering, electronics, and other maker jobs.

I agree, a lot of people can hurt themselves making stuff. Power tools like electric drills, hammers, and saws, and scissors can be unsafe.
