Do you remember the good old days? I remember when I was 5 years old the joy on my face as I beat Gary the champion. Well here is a topic to share those good-old nostalgic pokemon memories.

1. Yellow. I finally convinced my parents to get me a GBC and they picked a yellow one to match my only game for it. With this game, even though I felt so behind my friends because they had been into Pokemon long before me, at least we were starting a new adventure together.

2. Haunter. As I had been a fan of the card games and anime, I thought that Haunter was the coolest and funniest Pokemon. I never traded him to evolve though, as the newly added happiness function let me know that trading Haunter would make it very mad at me, and I didn't want to hurt its feelings.

3. I remember restarting every time we went on a family vacation. I would put all my favorite Pokemon in Pokemon Stadium as we drove 18 hours and I would beat the game again. Maybe on my first restart, I had a friend trade me a Ghastly at the beginning of the game. I felt like Ash did in the anime with Charmeleon since Ghastly was too high a level for me to control for most of the game and kept goofing off or licking the enemy to death. Also, due to the pre-shiny, nickname system in Stadium, my Haunter was actually a special color.
 
1. FireRed. I was 6 years old at the time. I saved up money for a GBA and for my birthday I got FIreRed.

2. My favorite pokemon in that time was my beloved shiny Charizard.

3. When I started the game I was really lucky, I picked Charmander and it turned out it was shiny! I remember training my Charmander like crazy. I trained it up to lv. 30 BEFORE I got the first badge! I remember Brocks Geodudes get 1HKO-ed. By the time I was up to the second badge my Charmander was already a charizard. Eventually I added a second pokemon pikachu. I remember defeating the champion with just pikachu and charizard! Ahhhh good times!
