Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat OS is reportedly a huge TV play

According to a report from ET News, Android 4.4 is the start of a huge push that will see Google attempt to dominate the TV platform market much like it currently dominates the smartphone market. The report doesn’t include many specifics, though it does state that KitKat will include a new TV interface that is dramatically improved compared to the old Google TV UI.

Android 4.4 sounds interesting. I wonder if this means an official Google or multiple Android consoles  and settop TV boxes from Samsung, LG, and HTC ,which also make Android phones and tablets, are also coming out soon.
