The Google Android TV game console looks pretty nice. I like the small size. The controller looks good as well for people with bigger hands. The specs of the console with 2GB of RAM, Bluetooth, Eternet, Dual-band Wifi, 16GB of storage, and other specs the guy mention sounds pretty good for an affordable console. Hopefully, this console will be priced at $99 or less like the Ouya, Amazon Fire TV, and other micro consoles.

Outside of having the name Google attached to it, I'm not so sure what makes this compelling enough to go out and grab for the masses. A lot of the big boys are trying to make strides in this area though, but not sure anyone has really done much.

In any case, I'll be curiously watching to see what happens with this. Thanks for sharing

That looks really nice! I just really enjoy watching unboxing videos for some reason. Maybe I just like seeing the revealing of a new product. It just seems really interesting to me. But for the product, it looks really nice! The controller really looks like a Xbox control to me.

These Android TV consoles will mainly replace basic Settop boxes like the Roku, and Apple TV which have very few apps, no games, or a very small amount of games like Angry Birds for the Roku.

I feel this is just a cheap alternative to the Apple TV and will be used by people who like stuff like Netflix and to play something like Dead Trigger, Rayman, Asphalt or Modern Combat occasionally. We should not forget that currently Android has a good amount of high quality games. Besides, the controller looks like a hybrid of the Xbox and the PlayStation controller design.

I think if future versions of these Android TV consoles, are more upgradeable with the ability to upgrade the  RAM, storage drive, and video cards like desktops, they can be an alternative to  smaller desktops, and netbooks which can cost hundreds of dollars more, and has few upgradeable parts because the videochip, and in some cases like CPU, memory, and video chip is soldiered/stuck on the circuit board.

Google Android also supports PC x86, and will soon be 64bit, so it can use more than 4GB of RAM unlike 32Bit.

I don't like how the bottom of the console looks, but I guess it doesn't matter that much since no one will see it. I also like the controller, though, and I can't wait to see it in action which will probably be shown soon. There's really been a huge surge of these microconsoles recently. I just hope they sell it at a lower price since I don't think many people would be willing to spend a lot on these types of consoles.

I think $50-80 would be a fair price for these micro consoles. Hopefully, extra controllers will be affordable as well instead of $50 like other consoles.
