In a blink and you’ll miss it moment during the company’s Game Developer Summit keynote, Google announced that it will soon launch an alpha of Steam for Chrome OS, available on “select Chromebooks.”

Chromebook users need a more powerful Chromebook with 7 GB of RAM, and a newer 11th generation Intel i5-i7 CPU to install Steam for Chromebook according to Chrome OS code change reveals initial list of Chromebooks getting Steam , so the gaming performance maybe good enough for most users with more powerful Chromebooks with an Intel i5-i7 and 8GB of RAM.
