Get an under the hood look at the next frontier in Search, from the team at Google behind the technology. The Knowledge Graph is a huge collection of the people, places and things in the world and how they're connected to one another. With this technology, Google can get you the best possible answers and help jump start your discovery.
I think the topic summary for search on the right sidebar can be useful to searcher who just want definitions and short answers to a search, so some people who just want a quick answer might be less likely to click on the search results which takes them away from Google.com, and to a site like Wikipedia if the answer on the right sidebar of the search result is "Good enough", and it can also convince people looking for more to visit more websites about the topic instead of just the first few results.
I wonder would Google just make study notes at the left and right side of the search results, so people don't need to click to as many websites to find the answer/study notes for a topic.
The teacher probably find out if more then one student has the same answer from Google by copying and pasting the answer, and now with the Google Knowledge Graph, the teacher can find where the student got the answer on Google.
Some teachers can see if you reworded an answer that is not your own if it does not sound like your own regular wording, or it sounds similar to something the teacher read online from Google, Wikipedia, etc.
