I join Google+ to see if there is anyway I can use it to promote my forums, blogs, and websites by getting referral traffic from Google+, but I probably won't join much to socialize on it since Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube are good enough for my social needs.
I wonder if being active on Google+ can improve the rankings of your websites if you can add your website to your sig or profile in Google+, or submit links to share on Google+ in hopes Google will index your links faster.
True, there should be a Q and A for that, but sadly a lot of search engines like to keep their search results ranking methods not very well known. All they usually say is create great content, and promote it on social networking sites, and people will naturally link to your site.
