Digitimes is reporting today that they expect Google to release an Android-powered laptop or netbook some time this year.
Their sources are sketchy, and in fact there’s little more to this than Digitimes’ own prediction (no “industry sources” this time), so there’s really not much worth saying about this rumor.

Cool, I wonder would Google also make a Taskbar/ programs menu like the Startmenu in Windows 7 and below, or keep the same Android launcher in Android 4.2.2 Jellybean.
I think Google should also design an official keyboard with touchpad for the Nexus 7, Nexus 10, and future tablets, and make a launcher homescreen apps which let you run apps in non-fullscreen resizeable windowed mode.
More people are used to Google Android than Chrome OS, so I think more people may buy an Android netbook than a Chrome OS netbook, and Android has more offline apps, and games for it than Chrome OS.
There are also already a lot of Google Android Netbooks which people can buy for $99 on Amazon, eBay, and online stores, so an official Google Netbook would be another choice of Android netbooks for people wanting a faster, and more full-featured Android device like the Nexus 4, 7, and 10 which are one of the best Android devices in their price ranges.
