It's looking as if the God of War Collection may be delayed to sometime in the spring of 2010. Gamestop has altered its release page to claim the game is coming out on March 6, 2010, while Target has similarly changed its release date to April 1. The altered dates certainly suggest something is going on, but we can't be sure until we hear official word from Sony. We recently saw similar activity with Alpha Protocol, noting retail delays over a week before Sega confirmed the rumor.
If this is the case, the Collection is set to come out shortly before God of War 3's planned spring release. Stacking the releases this way could make for a nice media blitz from Sony, but it would also make the included demo for God of War 3 a bit redundant and less of a draw for long-time fans who plan to pick up both anyway.
UPDATE -- PS3center reports that Sony's Jeff Rubenstein says the game is still on track for a fall 2009 release. This makes the sudden change from various retailers a bit of a mystery, but it seems to be official word, so it's the one we'll trust.
