It's a big year for the Zelda franchise, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Fans have two major releases to look forward to in 2011 - a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and one of the last major Wii games, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

To celebrate these major milestones, we've created the Greatest Legend of Zelda Game tournament, where you help us determine the best Zelda game ever. Each week we'll reveal the winners in each bracket, allowing you to continue voting until you determine which game is best.

which game will win?

I swear, if Ocarina wins, that is just people agreeing with all it's freaking hype. I'm giving my vote to Wind Waker or Phantom Hourglass.

I could care less about graphics; graphics are minuscule compared to the rest of the game, like gameplay and story.

I agree with this, but when you go from something flat to full 3D model. I like to meet the person who didn't s*** himself.

Plus games were 3D before this. Ocarina came out in 1996/7? Super Mario 64 came out in 1995, and PS1 in 1996.

I haven't played enough of the Zelda series to make a judgement however it seems general consensus that OoT is the best of the Zelda games by a long shot. It is one of the highest rated games ever with an average score of about 97% and that is from both fans and critics. Having never played MM I can't make a judgement mind. Only Zelda game I ever finished was 4 swords with my mate in Primary school. Every Friday afternoon we were given 30 mins of free time and me and my friend used that to beat 4 swords together. So much fun although it took us about 3 weeks to beat the last boss. Fond memories indeed

Well deserved too, many good memories I have of that game. Many good memories. I am offended though that they had the CDI games there and called them Zelda titles. Then again, I shouldn't be surprised since it's IGN.
