I've been hearing a bit about this but I'm still not quite sure what it's all about. I plan to look on TVTropes and other websites to find out sometime, when I'm not busy.
As far as I can tell, however, it seems like some sort of superhero film, they're the only ones who can save the world, that sort of thing.

Yeah definitely. Nice to see Vin Diesel in a superhero movie once again, and the fact that Chris Pratt is getting his career off the ground.
