Activision announced that Guitar Hero, as a franchise, has hit the billion-dollar mark in North America faster than any other franchise in the history of gaming, making it in a svelte 26 months since its inception. In addition, they announced that Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock was the highest-selling title of 2007, in both units sold and dollars made.
