Had the extreme treat to see the first of two Gurren Lagann movies tonight in my local theater. Though it was great seeing some epic moments on the big screen, you really must watch the anime series before watching this or you might be a bit lost.
Also really surprised where the movie ended as well, figured it would get to the timeskip.
