Hacked 3DS will be shot down

New reports out this afternoon suggest that firmware updates applied to hacked 3DS units (whether modded, used with R4 cards, etc.) can possibly brick said units.

The report, first disclosed by GoNintendo, states that Japanese purchasers are being warned about this issue via official notice from the Enterking, one of various Japanese retailers that stock and sell the handheld.

Makes sense. Even if it doesn't do anything if you use R4 or not, it'll scare many people away from R4.

Anyway, I doubt that 3DS games will be easily hacked, considering they are in 3D. Maybe they can make a good enough hack for normal DS games.

I mean shot down, as in those with hack 3DS are flying good but Nintendo comes along and shoots you down like duck hunter.
