source343 Industries has delayed the upcoming patch designed to resolve ongoing issues with Halo: The Master Chief Collection's multiplayer mode.
A new blog post explains the studio believes more time is needed to check the stability of the update before rolling it out, especially as it's one of the biggest patches yet. It's also apparently rethinking its previous comments regarding beta testing for all future content updates, as this now may not happen.
"As this update contains the biggest changes to the Matchmaking system yet, we’ve identified that additional time and testing is required," it reads. "We are currently evaluating both timing and need for a CU beta with the Xbox One Preview program, as well as the final public release date in February."
The developer has rolled out numerous content updates to address the ongoing issues that have plagued the title since its launch last November. Be sure to check out our opinion piece that takes a look at the launch issues with Halo MCC and other AAA titles from 2014.
