Hang on a minute... as obvious as this is, did everyone initially overlook Luigi in New Super Mario

Think about it again... I don't think Nintendo Direct actually directly mentioned him, did it?

But the Nintendo of Europe news announcement did, implying he's a playable character again. Did everyone suddenly not notice that interesting piece of information?

Guess it shows that people have become used to Luigi being playable in every single Mario game. Funny considering he's technically a secret character in about half of them (New Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Super Mario 3D Land). But it's surprising no one online really noticed how Nintendo kind of discreetly announced he was in the game in a random news article and took it for granted, right?

I hope we can use any playable character in singleplayer mode, not like in NSMBWii.

piantas would be a nice return! or a canoe on the map screen as if on mario 3! or "pipe levels" luigi though i know is in most of these games.

yoshi, well maybe if they put him in.

Or daisy since she is not in any regular mario game!
