Today on on December 18, 1987 Final fantasy was first released on a NES system thus making it 26 years old today.

Happy Birthday FF, thanks for the years of great gaming and hopefully you can make it to 30.
 
I don't think 1987 is correct, as I bought it first day it was available in 1990. Maybe it was out in Japan but not here. That was one of my most memorable games ever is how I remember. I am going to double check but I think it was 1990.

Still 26 years old though. 1987 is correct for Japan.

It's amazing that SquareEnix can continue to come out with new stories, characters and levels for Final Fantasy after all these years.
 
Yeah awesome game. The first one took me 2 days to beat it but the later ones take much longer.
