Finally, the Harry Potter series makes money for someone.
A copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone signed by "Joanne Rowling" sold for £19,700 at an auction in London recently. That’s $40,404.86 in real money. The seventh and supposed final installment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, made its debut in July, selling 11 million copies in 24 hours. It also made more money than the fifth movie, Order of the Phoenix, which in it’s opening weekend conjured a cool 77 mill.
