A serious accident has occured on the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, for which preparations have recently gotten underway at Leavesden studios outside London.
According to the UK's Mirror, the stunt double for Potter star Daniel Radcliffe was seriously injured when a scene rehearsal went horribly wrong.
The site says that the unnamed 25-year-old man plummeted to the ground after his harness apparently failed during a trail run for a flying sequence which involves a planned explosion.
"It is thought he may have been caught by the explosion and hit the ground very hard," a source on the set tells the Mirror.
The stuntman reportedly told crew members who rushed to his side that he could not feel anything from the waist down at the time.
Mirror contacted Warner Bros. who confirmed the injury, but had no further details. "Out of respect for the family we are unable to comment further," the studio said.
We don't know if Radcliffe or any members of the principle cast were on set at the time of the accident, but it's very like they were not as it occurred during a stunt rehearsal.
