Hate Messages

So your playing a game and you either spam beat or fairly beat the other person and soon after you get a message from them usually with some hate words in it. Like noob, asshole, motherfucker, ect.

Has anyone here gotten those? Have you sent one? Any of them funny?

I've only ever gotten 1 (never sent any)... But I've seen a few someone else got while playing and heard of a few more they'd gotten. Never found any of them funny though. More desperate and dumb than anything. Like really, instead of either playing the game or joining another lobby, you're going to rage at me? Grow up or get off the internet.

Personally, if people want to rage they need to find a better way/place to do it than by dumping it all on some poor other, oft undeserving, person on the internet.

I have had loads especially after playing call of duty usually fire back at them if I am in the mood too or just delete it or report them never send them though.

Never got this at all. Its only idiots who do this anyway.

You just have to deal with these messages in the gaming world... If you react to them in the same way, you basically become one of "them".

I just usually make fun of them and make them madder. They can thank me for their future heart attack.

On the PS3, go to your message box when not playing a game (you can't report messages when playing) then triangle to open the menu over the message and then select the option "Submit Grief Report" (or something like it). It'll ask you what the reason is and you pick from the list, I can't remember if you can enter your own reason or not if you can then you can choose it or the appropriate one closest to it. (This case would be sending hate mail or spam ) and then press send. Thats all there is to it.

I wouldn't respond to them at all, if something happens and they get reported and the mods see any sort of things like you egging them on they might be apt to suspend/ban you too. (I don't know what sort of mod tools they have to investigate reports... But I wouldn't like to take chances.)

No, Xbox 360 user here they give you an option to send a review about a gamer which reflects on their reputation and also give you the option to file a complaint for numerous things including vulgar messages or vulgar profiles or gamertags
