I've used Craigslist to look for job postings in my town, so I can send them my resume for an interview, so far I gotten a few interviews. Craigslist seems better for looking for local jobs then other job posting websites like monster, etc.
Indeed, some of the listings are pretty funny especially the "Missed Connections" listings when someone saw someone hot, but did not go up to them to ask for a date, so they post in the "Missed Connections" listings on Craigslists.
