Have you ever used the USB port on a Wireless Internet Router?

My Router does not have a USB port. But, I probably never use a USB port on my Router if I had a USB port. I don't find plugging in a USB Flash drive into a USB port on my PCs to transfer files hard to do, and most of my PCs are in the same room. Files on a USB drive also transfer faster when the USB drive is plugged directly into a USB port. I also have no need to share a printer with multiple computers since I only use one printer to print documents, and photos.

I read Millions of Routers Vulnerable to Attacks Due to NetUSB Bug which says that "A serious vulnerability affecting the NetUSB kernel driver developed by Taiwan-based tech company KCodes exposes millions of routers with USB ports to hack attacks, researchers have warned.", so I don't trust Routers with USB ports at keeping my Internet secure because of NetUSB, and other security problems.

I also think it is safer, and more custumizable to setup a Linux/UNIX or Windows Server 2012 Desktop or Server computer to share files, folders, printers, and devices on a wired and wireless network because you can set custom user permissions for folders, and files on a desktop and server, and install more secure firewall, antivirus, and network security software to prevent unwanted users from accessing your files, folders, and printers and devices instead of relying on the security software on a router which may have security problems because they were not updated in months to years.

After my recent upgrade I think I have like one or two on mine, but I see no point in it. The only reason to use it if you were going to share files between a lot of PCs which would only be useful for a business.

I think the USB port file transfer speeds are slower than 1-100 Gigabit per second network which many large buisnesses use. A lot of buisnesses use a powerful dedicated server computer with lots of RAM, Fast CPU, and fast storage drives like 10000 RPM hard drives, and running a Server OS like Linux, UNIX, and Windows Server 2012 which is connected to a Switch or router on the network.
