Playing four player games nowadays on one TV using one console is very very normal. But back when we had a PS1, four player games were very hard to come by. The norm was 2 player modes (for versus games and some side-scrolling action adventure games) and 2-player split screen mode (for racing games and third person games). The console was able to provide four player goodness if two PlayStations were connected via System Link. I never tried out this feature though. I never bothered with it... What about you?

I never heard of this, I knew if you wanted to play with 4 people you just get the expansion port that adds two more controller slots.
That's a multitap you're saying. It's a device that allows you to connect four controllers at once or a maximum of 8 controllers if you use a multitap on each controller port on the PlayStation 1.Demon_Skeith said:
