Warner Bros. has hired a new writer for their upcoming He-Man movie - Grayskull.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio has hired newcomer Evan Daugherty, who only has one writer/director/editor credit on IMDB - a short film called Rusty Forkblade. Apparently he won the gig of the back of a well-regarded unproduced screenplay that did the rounds in Hollywood called Shrapnel.
Warner's vision for the project is a drastic re-imagining of Mattel's Masters of the Universe toy line and cartoon.
The original TV Show revolved around blonde warrior prince Adam, who turned into the heroic He-Man to defend the planet Eternia from the evil Skeletor.
