HearthStone by Blizzard

never heard of it, I'll check it out later.

I Love hearthstone! It's actually relaxing for me to play, I just do 2 or 3 games a day between running my business as a stress reliever. Are you on US or EU? My main account is EU, I don't have that great cards on the US but PM me your battle.net ID and I'll give you guys a game!

I play on US, and I agree it is relaxing to play. I just got beta invite to the Heroes of the storm so will be checking that out as well.

I Love Hearthstone, I play it all the time on PC. I heard they released an iPad version of it and I go so jealous because I have an Android tablet, I really want Blizzard Entertainment to release it on Android as soon as possible so I can play it on the go :D

I played it for a couple of months, even got to rank 5 in ranked. But beyond that it's more of a grind (and luck) rather than real skill to get to Legend.

Maybe, when Blizzard releases the new expansion, I will continue playing it.

I'll be waiting until they release the expansion until I play it again. The game is fun and very well made but I got bored of it and only play in on the iPad occasionally now. Speaking of that, the mobile port is also excellent. I can't wait for it to come to Android and other platforms.

It's one of the favorite games I've started playing in the last 6 months. When I first start playing, I went through a 2 week period where playing HS is pretty much all I did. I don't play as much anymore, but I still enjoy going back every once in awhile without getting too bored. I'm looking forward to them adding more cards in the Naxx patch as it will drastically change the game. As of now, the only issue I have with it is that there are only a few top decks that everyone plays. Would really like to see the creativity aspect of deck building to the game.

When all my friends were in beta for this game I was so jealous. Eventually, I got in and I just hated it. I was losing virtually every game simply because my opponents always had better cards than me. I quit a few times, but came back every once and awhile. In time, it really grows on you especially as you get more cards in your arsenal. The barrier to entry is frustrating without a doubt, but I think many people will enjoy it more and more overtime.

That said, the Nax update is coming sometime soon -- some say as early as the end of this month. That might be exciting, especially if you enjoy the PvE aspect of things.

I've actually been looking for a good TCG-type game, because so few exist. I'm gonna check it out! I'd love something like this on my phone. Hope an android version is in the works!

I have been waiting also for the Nax update, should be something interesting.

Over on the US forums is a great post about deckbuilding, I always like to make up my own deck or tweak an existing deck rather than try and play someone elses deck. The link to it is here

Topics that are covered briefly:

Deckbuilding, how does it work?
  1. Focus on a theme
  2. Have 5-10 early game cards
  3. Have 5-10 late game cards
  4. Play mostly minions
  5. Improve the deck over time
Playing your new deck
  1. Start with cheap minions
  2. Spend your mana
  3. Think twice before making a play
  4. A clear board is a happy board
  5. Don't play too many minions
  6. Card drawing is for late game
  7. Hero Power (Focus on getting minions out early on, Hero Power later)
  8. Have fun! [Don't do this, trust us, it's not worth it]
