I've hiked a decent amount last year, and remembered why I hate over preparing for a hike. My experience made me realize I don't need to bring some of the stuff I thought I needed during the hike. Found a place locally that has a good size river near by, that makes it easy to hydrate while hiking the area. I figure the next time I decide to do a summer of hiking again, I might as well do it in that area, so I can better take my time and have better access to fresh water.
What are your thoughts? Do you like to hike? If so, where do you normally hike?
I feel hiking is a fun activity to do with a group of friends, or alone. I only hiked at a near by forest when I attended elementary school many years ago.
I love to hike! Though have to admit haven’t been able to as often as I’d like. Other priorities tend to get in the way. But we are fortunate to have acreage so while it’s not a steep hike, I always find something of interest out there.
We had an off-leash trail we went to in other years but they have since renovated it & it’s not the same anymore.
No, I don't like hiking. It can be very exhausting. The last time I tried it, I couldn't complete my hiking plans with where I wanted to reach. I was burnt out and felt horrible in the morning.
