You thought the oculus rift was going to kill your wallet? Microsoft is going to nuke it with their VR device, the hololens which will run at 3,000 USD.

This is really supposed to be the next step in entertainment though. Be pretty bad if it flopped.

Don't think the device will be around for 20 years. Be way different

I don't find the design to be very futuristic-looking. We should be close to transparent glass virtual reality glasses by now, not have something that looks like a motorcycle helmet...

everything starts out ugly and bulky, nicer versions will come soon enough.
