ZDNet did an quick scan of online reviews posted on the Home Shopping Network to get a glimpse at how normal people were taking to Windows 8 and found that “nearly 1 in 4 reviewers made a special point to single out Windows 8 for praise” while just 14% of reviewers singled out Windows 8 for criticism.

I guest this prove Windows 8 will be very likely to by most everyday home users because most people who watch and shop at the "Home Shopping Network" TV Channel and use their website are not very tech savvy, and still can manage to learn to use Windows 8, and enjoy their experience.

The prices at Home Shopping Network are not really that bad. On the website a HP Dual-Core CPU with 4GB RAM, 500GB space Desktop with Windows 8 cost 430, and an ASUS X55-Series 15.6" LED, Windows 8, Pentium, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD Laptop with Windows 8 for 480 at http://www.hsn.com/e...rod=np&Ns=price

These prices are comparable with Wal-Mart, BestBuy, and other retail stores which sell similar PCs and laptops.

I think most people who buy from HSN don't like going into retail stores, or online websites to buy things, and find it more convenient to call a number they see on TV, and pay over the phone, and wait for their package to arrive.

Plus, they can also see how the computer works, and how to use the PC on TV before they buy it, so if they like what they see, they are more likely to buy something.

Plus, there is also easy payments for people who can't really afford a computer to slowly pay off their PC for 100+ dollars a month until it is all paid off rather then taking out a loan from the bank or credit card company to pay for a computer all at once at a store.

They still end up paying more for the same merchandise, and the people don't usually know much about the product being sold either. I've seen them charge double for a PC suite that was already near obsolete.

Some people may not like going into retail stores, and in some cases, you can expect to pay a mark up there as well, so it is understandable that they'd want to avoid that, but they can still get a better deal online than they can with HSN.
