Honest question.... Does anyone here actually know what "trolling" is?

Because I've been accused of trolling, Skymin50 claims that MoonSage is trolling, and then MoonSage denies trolling...

Does anyone actually know what trolling is?

I always think of trolling as "deliberately (keyword, deliberately) provocing a negative reaction, being deliberately annoying, etc".

For example, saying "Nintendo sucks, PlayStation is awesome" would be trolling.

Getting annoyed and angry and then swearing out of rage is NOT trolling, at least not what I'd call trolling.

To answer your question: Yes, i do know what trolling is

I do.

He was trolling me,though.Knows I'm getting annoyed, invites me to his stupid little duel anyways, and did it "For the lulz".

That's a troll if I've ever seen one.

So, MoonSage was spamming smilies. Skymin50's getting annoyed with it.
He then continues doing it, knowing it's annoying Skymin -- this is trolling
He then invites Skymin50 to a smilie spam war thing knowing that it's going to annoy Skymin50 -- this is further trolling
He then says he's doing it for the lulz -- this is pretty much trolling. It's not far from saying "Haha, I'm annoying you for lulz".

Am I correct, or wrong?

The point is, when was the last time I trolled? That is, when was the last time I "purposely provoked someone by intentionally annoying them for the sake of annoying them in the hope of getting them to react in a negative way, just for my enjoyment"? (That's pretty much what I consider trolling).

I know it when I see it.

About the 'deliberate' part: I don't really think most trolls are sitting there with some smug self-satisfied grin 'doing it for the lulz'. I think they're sitting at home, either bored or lonely, or angry or whatever, and maybe unconsciously, or on some level they just want some sort of reaction. Attention, positive or negative. So they post something provocative, or call someone out on something. Something hard to ignore. Something that demands a response, needs to be addressed.

Sorry, don't want discussion of other members in Off-Topic like this. Locking.
