Hot Cocoa or Hot Chocolate

What do you call it? Do you use the terms interchangeably?
Hot chocolate is made from using solid chocolate whereas Hot cocoa is a powdered form. Think Swiss Miss instant packets.
I call it Hot cocoa. While I have tried the solid chocolate version, it is extremely rich & thick! More like a meal than an after dinner beverage.
Do you drink it all the time or perhaps just in the colder months?
I can drink it year-round. Whenever it suits my taste.

Hot cocoa has fewer syllables. I might have it once a winter but haven't had it in a while.

I definitely use them interchangeably. I can't really give any reasons to why I chose one or the other either, just a random thing as far as I know. Although I do not drink it all too much anymore.

I have known people to call it hot cocoa and others to call it hot chocolate. I have always called it hot chocolate and can't say I tend to use the word cocoa when I refer to it.
