A while ago Hot Shots Tennis came to the PlayStation 2. As a fan of the franchise and its character customization, wacky equipment, and wealth of unlockables, I dug it when I reviewed it. The trouble was that the PS2 was already starting to ride off into the sunset when Tennis arrived in stores, so not many of you played it.
Now, the PSP is booming thanks to the upcoming arrival of the PSPgo, so you have no excuse to miss Hot Shots Tennis on the PSP.
If you're not familiar with Hot Shots, the game takes normal sports, assigns some simple controls, and drops in goofy cartoon characters that you can dress, level-up, and have a ball with. The demo of Tennis was limited to a girl and a guy playing on a farm-based dirt court, but I could put my lady in a bee suit, have her a rock a bikini, give her a moustache, choose rackets with different skill attributes, and so on.
