How come Surprise mode doesn't seem to be unlocked in Luigi's Mansion 2?

It says you need to beat the campaign, but I'm pretty sure I did that. After all, I beat King Boo and saw the ending, so isn't that the main missions?

Do I need to beat all the unlockable Boo missions as well?

No clue. I don't move on until i beat all boos and find all gems. I'll keep you notified.

I think he was joking.

Seriously though, maybe you need to beat all ScareScraper modes on the same difficulty level or in single player.

solo seems to be it. Kudos to you for doing rush mode. I hate that mode far too much to want to try.

nope just did it last night. you just have to have the story mode beat first, then beat all the modes on any time and difficulty.

Can't be! I beat the story 100% the day after I got it - all boos and gems found and everything. And then I beat Hunter normal, Polterpup normal both to floor 25, did some of their endless modes and beat rush to floor 5 with Stonewoot and we still don't have it unlocked.

yeah but did you do it solo? The current thing we've found is you have to beat a mode of rush solo.

nope I had a full team with me. I havent beat any of the modes solo.

>.> Apparently I've had it unlocked since the last time I beat Rush with Stonewoot. The game just never told me until I went to make a lobby as host as I had been joining games until now since beating it.

but now, for some reason, it is saying my best floor on hunter is 5 and endless is no longer unlocked and that I JUST unlocked endless polterpup which I did on day 2 of playing and have made it to floor 17!. >.< this game needs a serious patch.

dude thats crazy!! nintendo needs to learn how to make one good online game for a change, and quit rushing to get it done. i would wait an extra month or two if it ment the game was actually going to work right!

I agree where first party games are concerned. Third party games work differently.

I'll use MicroSoft and Capcom as an example. If Capcom says that they are making a game for the 360 and MicroSoft okays it, they make a contract with MS on the release date's deadline. If Capcom delays the game's release for any reason, they owe MS money. Sometimes it is worth paying for the delay while other times it would make too big a dent in profits for a developer to pay, so they put it out in "working" condition but with a lot of bugs. MicroSoft, for example, allows one patch free to the developers and then another free patch for any expansion pack-style downloadable content. Anything other than that in way of patches they have to pay MS for again. This is why you often see patches come out on day 1 of a game's launch or when DLC comes out.
