How do you feel about reading long text?

Reading long text really get on my nerves. It's only if that's something very important I would be willing to go through reading it all otherwise, I would skip such text.

How do you handle long text? Do you just skim through it or dedicate time to read everything well?

If it's interesting I don't mind. Also the longer the text the more likely it's worth reading over short snippets.

So you don't like reading books?

I am fine with it if it's about something that's interesting or at least about something that's interesting enough for me. Like many jrpgs/rpgs in PS1 era got no English dub and thus you had to read many conversation texts, it's like reading a book lol.

I don't like it when I get long text messages sent to my cell phone because my cell phone's screen size is smaller, and using my cell phone screen longer to read a very long text can make my cell phone battery life shorter.

The book's text must be bigger, otherwise it's going to be very difficult for me to read it.
Long text is a struggle anymore lol. But I will do it for stuff I want to learn about.
Seriously, it's a big struggle. I wish there's a way to boycott reading them lol.

Depends on the context/medium and how it's done. If it's some giant ass exposition dump in a manga/comic that throws 5 million speech bubbles @ you to explain how a fax machine works or some shit, I go "wtf?" If it's a compelling speech or some computer programming physics research paper, I'd eat that shit up like cocoa hot cakes and ask for seconds.

I don't entertain it at all in chats especially like some people do in WhatsApp group chats.

Oh FUCK Those people. Especially when they post those dumb ass copypastas trying to teach you a life lesson and you gotta scroll down for 5 whole ass minutes till you can get to the end.
Mfs post a whole ass novella for me to read in a damn text message format. FOH.

If it can get to a point with fewer words, the long text is not worth reading. If it's crafted to teach you something like a book instead of adding verbose detail about nothing then I understand. I do choose to read what I want and most of the time I'm not forced to read it.

It is difficult to keep people glued to what you are saying on a long text, but it is pretty important that we understand that there are people that likes writing long text as well

I skip most of their text. I won't suffer over what's not going to do me good reading it.

I don’t mind it to some degree. Especially if somebody needs to just talk & I don’t want to interrupt them. I know what it’s like to just wanting to let go & what it’s also like when somebody wants to cut in. Flipside, I don’t need a long discussion on minute things such as the weather.

It's always charming to give someone a listening ear whenever they want to let off the steam on a lot they have bottled up down.
