I ignore selfish people.
They are not worth the stress at all. They deserve the boot kick.
Human association was limited very well during COVID and it's how I treat selfish people.
They definitely deserve to be treated that way by all means.

I don't think anyone would like to have anything to do with such people as well.
I always see them as being condescending whenever they are talking.

This works too. Give them zero attention and watch what happens next.
They will become paranoid. They usually tend to lose it.
It can be hard to ignore selfish people. What I try to do is understand their reasoning. WHY are they feeling this way. There are times it's a simple call for attention & a good heart to heart can help ease it.
If it's people who are egotistical & only think of themselves as a way of life, then I will be polite, but keep them at arm's length.
