How do you stop yourself from purchasing more?

It can be hobby related stuff or anything else.
Most of the time I end up purchasing more and more. What about you guys?

I usually wait until something I want to buy is on sale, or the price becomes lower.

Sometimes, I lose interest on the item, and don't end up buying it.

if I look at my bank account, there's a specific amount that I'll never go under. Thats how I stop buying so much stuff, like games. haha.
If its something I really want, I wait for it to go on sale. If there are no signs of a sale, I usually end up playing my games that I currently own, replay you know?

I sometimes feel I should buy fewer things because the earth is getting polluted by people who buy too many things, throwing too many things awsy, and people using too much energy like gas, coal, wood, and electricity can harm the earth.
