Guides now require staff approval before they are displayed in the board. What does this mean for you? Nothing much, but here's a standard explanation.
Why Is Approval Required?
Guides require approval now to filter out the reviews that may not be fully finished yet. This also stops members from being negative towards incomplete guides and saves a lot of trouble (and stops a lot of topics from being locked).
What Happens When I Post A New Topic?
To you, nothing. To staff, we will be notified that a new topic is awaiting approval. We check it, and 9 times out of 10, it will be approved, and will display in the board.
Please do not worry if you cannot see your new topic, because that's what happens when a topic is awaiting approval. It will be invisible to all standard users.
What Happens If My Topic Isn't Approved?
You will be notified by a staff member that it hasn't been approved, but will also be given a reason as to why it wasn't approved and receive tips on how to make your guide better.
Reasons for topics not being approved include:
Can I Resubmit A Guide If It's Been Knocked Back Once?
YES! So long as you take our advice and improve it, you absolutely can! In fact, that's exactly what we want you to do! Don't be discouraged, keep working at it!
Please don't look at this as a "Oh I need to impress the staff now!" thing. We don't care if you don't use pictures, or if it isn't fancy. We just expect that you have read the guidelines here and understand that if your topic isn't approved, it's because it isn't meeting some requirements, such as offering enough content.
If you've got any questions, toss me a PM. Otherwise, don't be scared off! Just write reviews as normally! Thank you!

Reasons for topics not being approved include:
- It already exists (another member has written a similar review)
- It contains too many spoilers
- It isn't formatted well (a staff member can help out)
- There isn't enough content to call it a guide
- Instructions are vague
