How important are fan groups on Facebook, and other social networking sites to you?

Fan Groups are very important to me since I like keeping up to date on what my favourite bands, animes, and other entertainment related groups are up to without going to multiple websites since I can just read what is new in groups I'm a member in on my Facebook Feed when I login.

They're not important at all imo. I personally don't care about them and don't usually even look at them, but since others do, it's a must for every webmaster to have a fanpage for his/her website.

Dirt at least has a purpose.. if you keep it hydrated, you can at least plant things so that they can grow.

actually pocket lint can be used to make some fabulous looking art.

not so important for me. i may join but that's it, i don't watch them actively. they are more like stats for my friends to see, what bands, sports etc. i like.
