How important is page load speed when it comes to visiting a website?

As long as I have something to read while the rest of the images and videos are loading. I don't mind slow page loads. But, I dislike those pages which are blank and takes a long time to load text.

as long as the page don't take so long that I could get up and get a glass of water or something I'm fine with a low slowness. Unless I'm in a hurry or pay for fast sites.

Very. If it takes a long time to load, then I won't even bother trying to navigate that site and I will leave..

to me it's pretty important.. i'm so fast paced web surfer anyway. nothing is worse when you're in hurry and some important site takes like 1 minutes to load. grrr
