To all GF gamers who have Xbox one, how is it? Did it live up to your expectations?

I've heard that people are still experiencing glitches with the Xbox one. The games are too expensive and there aren't many games to select from to buy and play. I'm sure once they get that all fixed and more choices of games then it will be great for everyone.

If it wasn't for halo this console could be dead already.

I have heard a ton of people saying that the Xbox one has been giving them some trouble. One of my friends have one and so far he doesn't seem to be having any trouble with his. I am planning to get one in the future but I definitely think that I would be getting the PS4 first becaue I have been hearing nothing but good reviews for it.

I've had an Xbox One since release and I love it. Obviously the one complaint I have is the fact that there aren't a huge amount of appealing games out for it right now. However, after E3 I have to say that I'm pretty excited for the exclusives and the multi-platform games. As for the system as a whole, I really don't have a whole lot of bad things to say about it. Microsoft has done a great job in doing updates monthly, which always fixes problems that people might have. I think that Microsoft is doing a great job overall with the console, and it should only get better as time goes on.

I've had my Xbone since launch as well, and a PS4, and honestly they both are great and both have issues. The os interface on the Xbone is awful, I hate the tiles with a passion and its slow and clunky but the same goes for the PS4. The games that are out now are fun, but like McDoooobz said, all the E3 games are going to really crank it up for both systems. I'm really looking forward to the Halo Master Chief Collection, I can't wait to play through those games again but with the Xbone controller which I really like. I'm really glad they started with the games with gold promotion too, it kind of gave a breath of fresh air to the system.

I am interested to know if anyone is regretting buying the Xbox One now after owning it for around half a year? Or is it still something you like and are happy to own?

Hearing some views here on the Xbox One makes me more want to get one judging by what some of you guys said this sounds amazing. My question here though is this is it so much better than the Xbox 360 or is it just the graphics that are better or have Xbox finally created the perfect games console

I got the Xbox One for Christmas of its release year. So far I have found no issues that are deal-breaking. Yes, the games' sizes are much larger (30-40 GB), which can lead to longer installations and a filled up console. Even with these issues, I see many more positive features to this next-generation console. The many features of this magnificent console include the ability to watch live TV. You could be playing a game and change over to watch live TV, while still receiving Xbox notifications. Another cool feature is the Xbox One's ability to record gameplay with a built-in Game DVR. A third cool feature is the ability to do two things at once by "snapping" two screens together. The final feature I'll talk about is the Kinect. This new-and-improved voice command device is now much better than its previous version. The Xbox One is in a low-power state when not being used, making it able to hear any voice commands you choose. You can say "Xbox on" or "Xbox sign in". So over all, I find the new Xbox to be a step up from all the old consoles out there.

I have heard there was quite a few glitches on the XB1, a lot more than PS4 in fact. People had to bring the XBOX 1 back to the factory. PS4 a lot better.

Despite long being a console fan I've been on PC games since the first Xbox was released, so for me this is a huge jump since the that generation of consoles. Overall I'm pretty happy with it. It came with Forza 5, which I'm still hooked on, and Kinect Sports Rivals, which my wife quite enjoys. We're in China and there's only about 20 games officially released here so far, so that is rather disappointing. One of the recent patches has unlocked the machine to games from other regions, however, so next time I travel I'll pick up some more.

I've had my One for coming up to a year now and I'm really enjoying using it, however it does seem to be showing it's hardware limitations with certain games where they are stuttering a lot. I say hardware, it could be an otptimisation issuse?

I agree with all the points that you mentioned, especially that they're a step-up from their predecessors. And besides, they've just been out there, and are under intense testing by their consumers, namely, us. So they're bound to bring in features and opt out of others to eenhance the customer experience. To me, it seems that, that with time, they'll do whatever it takes to make us (the buyers) happy. And it doesn't matter that for now, they've all the drawbacks that they have right now.

Anyway, there are some interesting comments that people are making, and it helps the greater good (of gamers) that such a discussion's being held.
